Fire Life Safety Log Books

Fire Safety Directors is pleased to announce that we can now provide these required recordkeeping materials to the more than 10,000 buildings and hotels in New York City. In April of 2006 the FDNY amended the Fire Code. In the new FDNY fire code, section R404-02m requires an FLS Logbook be bound and maintained onsite for five years. In July 2010 the FDNY amended Section 404-01-s-1 – 404-01-s- to indicate that a Fire Safety Plan logbook to track fire safety events, drills, training, inspections, etc., is required to be maintained at an approved location.
