At the beginning of the year 2012, the FDNY will be implementing the new standpipe and sprinkler tests. These new tests will be available on January 9, 2012.
Current holders of the certificates below will not have their C of F renewed and must take the new test. Although the current standpipe and sprinkler certificates are valid until expiration, they have to comply with NFPA 25, 2002 and NYC Fire Code 2008 edition requirements. The inspection, testing, maintenance, impairment procedures, notification processes and other related activities have to comply with NFPA and Fire code starting January 9, 2012.
