The NYC Certificate of Fitness Exam Now Requires An Appointment – Schedule Fire Safety Director Exams and Other Tests at Metrotech

The Certificate of Fitness Unit will be conducting weekday exams at 2:45 P.M. by appointment ONLY. Some of the tests that will be conducted by appointment only include:

• Fire Safety Director
• Emergency Action Plan Director
• Construction Site Fire Safety Manager

Some of the re-tests that will be conducted by appointment only include:

• S-12
• S-13
• S-14

• Subject line of your email must read “Appointment /test type” e.g. Appointment/S-12
• Await confirmation within 24 hours except on weekends and holidays
• DO NOT submit multiple requests
